If you experience a checksum mismatch with a car which has no data.acd file in the folder, reupload the car and try again.
Delete the file data.acd located in the folder and upload the one located at your game's folder in the exact same location.īE AWARE: Some cars may not have any data.acd file in its folder.Once you're on the desired car's folder, you will see a file called "data.acd".Go to your server's files and go to content > cars > the folder of each car you've on the server. If you have used the exact same track with other cars and they work without any issue:
Delete the file surfaces.ini located in the folder and upload the one located at your clients game's folder. This is also a cool way to lose all your save games. edit: remove your save files before doing this or else they will be deleted. When players get this error it can be for various reasons. There should be a file called "surfaces.ini". Try deleting the hoi4 folder in documents. A checksum mismatch is what happens when a file on the client and on the server are not identical. Click on the "data" folder to open it and view its content. Now that you're looking in the desired track folder, you will see a folder called "data". Go to your server's files, and go to content > tracks > the track you've on the server. If you have used the exact same cars in a different track and they work without any issue: Browse to the content > cars > mercedes_sls directory, and the upload the data.acd file from here to your server. To resolve this, go into your Assetto Corsa clients installation directory. You should then update this file on the server (or on the local clients that can’t connect) so that both the clients and server use the same file.įor example, the mercedes_sls is known to cause checksum mismatch errors. It should indicate which file is generating the checksum error. The best way to find the content that is causing the Checksum Mismatch is by looking at the web console in the control panel when joining a server. Server and client are up-to-date, but I still get a checksum Mismatch error. To see if other users are experiencing the same problem and to bring it to the attention of the developers. Aditionally you could check the Assetto Corsa forum: If that is the case than there isn’t much we can do except for waiting a few hours and trying again. In the past we’ve experienced that Kunos Simulazioni forgot to release an update for both the server and client at the same time. The first issue is quite easy to fix by using the steam update function in the control panel and using the verify game cache files in Steam on the client. Some (add-on) content on the server is not the same as on the client. As such the files on the client and server don't match. A recent Assetto Corsa update has not been applied to either the client or server. When players get this error it can be for various reasons, but most commonly they are:
What is a checksum mismatch? A checksum mismatch is what happens when a file on the client and on the server are not identical. If none of this helps the best thing you can do is talk to Paradox tech support - ultimately the launcher is something they created and know far better than we do, so they are best placed to help.Checksum mismatch on the server. If you are doing that, installing HOI4 on your main partition (for most PC users, this is your C: drive), keeping your mod folder there, and not using any folder redirects, can help. One known issue with the new launcher is that it doesn't play nicely when you use non-standard partitions for your mod folder and HOI4, or using any folder redirects. You can find all the download links to Kaiserreich here. It can be worth trying other methods of installing the mod if one isn't working. Paradox is aware of the issues users are having with the new launcher, and have their own troubleshooting advice, so looking into that is another option. We have a full guide on how to do that here. If the above doesn't work, we'd advise doing a complete, clean re-install of Hearts of Iron IV. Now re-subscribe to your mods and proceed.Delete a file called mods_registry.json.Delete the mod folder and everything in it.Find the folder where your HoI4 saves are kept (it's probably going to be in your Documents folder, some variation on C:\Users\YourName\Documents\ParadoxInteractive\Hearts of Iron IV - once you get there, you'll see folders for "logs", "save games", "mod", etc.).Unsubscribe from all HoI4 mods (yes, all of them).
